Rockchip RV1126/RV1109 effectively solves the pain points of battery security products

With the popularization of smart homes, with the benefit of AI, the home security system is gradually improved and intelligentized. The smart doorbell/peephole/door lock is the first line of defense, allowing users to keep track of any changes at the door of the house in a timely manner; the battery IPC is not bound by wiring, and the installation area is not limited. It can monitor the periphery or dead corners in all directions, which greatly improves the security level of the home.
At present, the battery-based IPC products on the market have pain points such as slow capture speed, low recognition accuracy, short standby time, poor shooting effect, and poor video fluency. Rockchip's newly upgraded RV1126 and RV1109 battery-based smart vision solutions technically solve the above-mentioned pain points, and the four major advantages improve product performance.
一、AI filtering starts accurate recognition, and the capture speed increases by 40%
For battery IPC products, the timely capture and recording of images is a key function and a piece of important evidence for follow-up investigations. RV1126 and RV1109 support fast startup in standby mode. The capture speed of the first frame is about 150ms, while the other solutions on the market are about 250-300ms, and the capture speed is increased by about 40%. The image output speed is about 500ms, while the other solutions are about 1200ms. At the same time, the built-in hardware decompression module DECOM makes the decompression time faster. According to the actual measurement, under the 156MB firmware, the decompression time of the DECOM module is 22 times faster than that of the CPU.
More importantly, RV1126 and RV1109 have built-in 2T and 1.2TNPU respectively, which can realize AI intelligent filtering, quickly and accurately detect human figures in the screen, filter the false wakeup rate of other moving objects, and effectively improve the recognition accuracy.
二、Power consumption is reduced by 64%, supporting ultra-long standby time
The battery life and charging frequency of the product are important factors that consumers need to consider when purchasing home monitoring equipment. The visual solutions currently on the market have short battery life due to the problems of manufacturing process and performance and power consumption. RV1126 and RV1109 adopt 14nm process, with the same performance, the comprehensive power consumption is only 201mW, while the 28nm power consumption is 555mW, and the power consumption of Rockchip’s solution is reduced by about 64%. In addition, the memory options of the RV1126 and RV1109 solutions support low-power
LPDDR3/LPDDR4, and similar products usually only support DDR3 with higher power consumption.
三、Black-light-all-color, images are clear under backlight, wide-angle without deformation
Based on Rockchip's unique ISP algorithm, the five major technologies of "3-frame HDR + multi-level noise reduction + Smart AE + AWB white balance + distortion correction" are integrated. The RV1126 and RV1109 solutions can realize clear recognition of human faces in backlight, color imaging in dark environments and ultra-wide-angle without deformation.
